Owner Garry Springer also wanted to recognize the successful tech growth and change happening in Waterloo, hence the call-outs to the ION train and LED street lamp installations.
How Much Do Murals Cost?
Pricing for Murals & Hand-Painted Signage is dependent on a number of factors, including:
Size
Whether it’s indoors or outdoors (materials differ)
Complexity & style of the design
Number of unique paint colors used
Whether the wall needs special preparation / grinding / sealing
Whether the ground below needs stabilizing (eg. gravel vs paved, or inclined vs flat)
Whether power lifts or scaffold rentals are needed to reach certain heights
Timeline (assistants may need to be hired to meet a deadline)
The expertise level of the artist
Each muralist takes their own approach to pricing. Some go by square foot; some charge by the hour, etc. In my experience, an accurate quote comes from considering all of the above factors.

Murals — FAQ
How does the creative process work? — Through a series of questions, I determine what you are envisioning for the space. Using that brief, I then begin creating rough artwork concepts. With your ongoing feedback, I develop a finalized digital design, including a mock-up version of the artwork on your wall. Once we have a design that we're both happy with, I move on to site preparations & material acquisitions.
When can we start? — Outdoor murals are achievable between April and Sept, indoor ones at any time of the year. I'm available to work most days, evenings and weekends.
How long will it take? — The timeline for hand-painted murals depends on the size and complexity of the design. For outdoor spaces, the weather is also a factor. [Paint cannot be applied in wet, humid, or cold conditions, (under 13°C.)] On average, a 1,000-sq-ft mural may involve up to 50 working hours. A 4x4' crest or logo sign can be painted within 1–2 days. For vinyl wrap murals, the artwork can usually be installed within a day. Vinyl can be removed and transported in case your business location ever changes.
